Welcome to the new ManagedSurrender.com and SpillingScripture.com! My intention is to write devotional articles which help with the three most basic fundamentals: praying regularly and seeking God’s will, reading and studying God’s Word, and connecting with others near you. These devotional articles are available in the navigation menu on the side. Additional resource items are available from the drop down menu above. Feel free to read through the articles and share your thoughts in the new comments feature located at the bottom of each article. As always, if you see an article that you like, feel free to forward it along and share it with others. A new language translation tool is now also available on the side menu to assist as needed.
Most of the articles in the Managed Surrender section are now complete. The newest devotions are posted in the Spilling Scripture section going forward. I hope that they genuinely help in your daily walk with Jesus and cause you to reflect on His Word.
Sincerely,
Jeff Beneze
Quick thoughts…
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (James 2:17 KJV)
Faith vs Works? Which of your works are so complete that it required no faith? Would not your works increase your faith? Works are more than the evidence of faith. It is what is required to grow your faith!
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” (John 10:27 KJV)
The sheep are smart enough to recognize their names, recognize the one calling them, and the difference between following and refusing to.
“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:11 KJV)
Evidence of life in a new world even if he could not step into it just yet.
“And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.” (Genesis 1:16 KJV)
God creates the sun, moon, and stars on the 4th day after making dry ground, grass, and trees on days 2 and 3. Sometimes God does things in a different order than we think makes sense. Often God builds evidence that His handiwork is His into His handiwork.
